Every child deserves the chance to play

Empowering Every Child

We believe that sports are a vital part of a child's growth. Our mission is to remove financial barriers so that every student, regardless of income, can experience the benefits of teamwork that fosters confidence and belonging.

Why Sports Matter

Teamwork

For children, sports are more than just a game. They are a powerful tool for building confidence, providing a sense of belonging, and teaching the value of teamwork. Every time a child steps onto the field, they gain experiences that will help them socially and emotionally, as well as finding ways to overcome challenges.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Otto Legacy Fund?

We are a family-driven initiative inspired by Otto's memory. Our mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of family income, has the opportunity to participate in sports.

How does the fund assist families?

Funds will be used to pay for equipment, uniforms, registration fees, and other economic barriers that families face. Instead of paying money directly to the families, funds will be paid directly to the supplier or organization. Is the fund a formal charitable organization?

The Otto Legacy Fund is fiscally sponsored by the Responsibility Foundation, a 501(c)3. The Responsibility Foundation is a Utah-based nonprofit that is primarily focused on relief efforts in Ukraine. Donors to the fund can designate financial assistance to children in Utah or Ukraine. All donations are charitable contributions.
